This trade has a reputation problem
Duct cleaning is one of the most complained-about home services in the country. Cheap ad, vague scope, aggressive upsell once the van is in the driveway. Pretending otherwise would be a strange way to open.
The reputation
Where the problem comes from
Three things combine badly. The service is hard for a homeowner to evaluate, because the work happens inside a duct you cannot see. There is no licensing requirement to do it. And the marketing promises a health benefit that the evidence does not support.
Put those together and you get a market where the cheapest possible bid wins the phone call, and the money is made after arrival. The customer cannot tell a thorough job from a token one. Neither can the next customer.
Our filter
What we do differently
Mostly, we tell people not to buy. If you describe a symptom that duct cleaning will not fix—and plenty of them are—you will get told that instead of getting a quote. It costs us the job. It is also the only way this site is worth anything to you.
When we do route an inquiry, these are the things we check:
- Does the company connect a vacuum to the trunk line and put the system under negative pressure? Or is it a portable unit and a hose?
- Do they agitate each branch mechanically, or only extract at the register?
- Will they show you before-and-after camera footage from inside the duct, unprompted?
- Is the price a fixed scope, or a starting figure with the real number decided in your hallway?
- Do they push chemical sanitizer fogging as standard? The EPA notes such products are not well studied for in-duct use.
- Will they look at the coil and blower, where the measurable efficiency problem usually is?

Where our incentives sit
Be aware of this while reading anything else on the site. The contractor pays for inquiries. You do not pay us. That is the standard arrangement behind comparison and directory sites, and we would rather write it down than have you assume we are the crew.
The practical implication: we have an interest in you contacting someone. We do not have an interest in which specific job you buy, which is why steering you away from unnecessary cleaning costs us little and is worth doing.

What you will not find here
No reviews or star ratings, because we have not collected any and inventing them would be both dishonest and a fast route to being removed from search results. No before-and-after photographs, because they would not be ours. No years-in-business claim, no certifications, no team page. There is no company behind this site yet, and saying otherwise would be a lie that is trivially easy to check.
What you will find is the EPA's actual guidance, an explanation of what a real clean involves, and a straight answer about whether your particular symptom warrants one.

You are welcome to use this to find out that you do not need us. Describe what's happening and you will get a straight read on whether it points at the ducts, the coil, the dryer run, or nothing at all.
If the answer is that cleaning would not help, that is the answer you will get.
